RuckPack Update – Rob Dyer – Season 4 Episode 10 (Deal With Robert & Kevin)

Rob Dyer wants to RUCK – YOU UP!

Major Rob Dyer started RuckPack energy drink while serving in the US military.  While protecting our freedoms & rights he was also looking for a way to help his fellow servicemen rise to peak performance without using some of the crash-prone, caffeine-laden energy drinks on the market.  Fast forward a few years and RuckPack is dominating .
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”  ~Calvin Coolidge
Rob Dyer’s story is pretty fascinating.  He was originally rejected by Shark Tank, he was on the verge of quitting numerous times, but through it all the “marine” mindset and the will to push forward ultimately paid huge dividends.   Lets not forget this is all while holding a full-time job in the military…not exactly the most flexible place for a little side hustle.  What’s your excuse for not succeeding?

Like Rob said to Daymond in this session, “He will wish he went with the Marine!”

  • Why some energy shots are better than others (they all say the other ones are “bad” right?)

The Shark Tank Effect:

The prior year sales were 100% matched in the first 3 hours of broadcast and were consistent through the next week!  OORAH!

Advice for entrepreneurs who haven’t made it over the hump just yet:

  • The more you prep, the more you plan, the more you drill – the less chance you have to screw it up
  • If you have 10 dollars, don’t start a business that requires 11 dollars.  Work within your budget and hustle/grind.
  • BE LIKEABLE! – This is my observation with Rob.  He is persistent & likeable.  He will succeed. PERIOD.

Items we talked about during the session:
